We’re not another travel blog

Cool London Guide is an active travel storytelling platform that turns walking and cycling into cultural discovery experiences across London’s neighbourhoods.
Our innovation lies in using culture-led storytelling to change travel behaviour: each route combines navigation tools with local stories, community highlights and creative content, motivating people to choose active transport over car or short public transport trips.
We work directly with local charities, youth groups, art schools and community networks to co-create routes and events, ensuring inclusivity and participation from under-represented communities.
The project delivers guided walks, cycling days, school and community programmes and a digital mapping platform, with impact measured through participant numbers, kilometres walked or cycled, modal shift surveys and estimated CO₂ savings.
Ultimately, Cool London Guide demonstrates how creative storytelling can become a practical tool for sustainable urban mobility and social engagement, creating a scalable model for other UK cities.

Are you new to London? Cool London Guide is here to help you settle in, connect, and explore creatively — from housing tips to community gigs. Let’s make this city feel like home.

Natural Neighbours & Community Walks

London Neighbourhood Walks

Discover London one step at a time
Community routes • urban nature • local stories

The Thames is not just a river. It is a threshold—between city and nature, between memory and future. From the heart of London to the shifting light of the estuary, the river tells a story of wounds and recoveries, of biodiversity that resists, of communities that refuse to be flattened into tourist clichés

Vibrant urban scene of graffiti and layered posters on a city wall, capturing street art culture.

Our Creative Labs are immersive, practical workshops designed to equip young creatives with essential skills and insights from industry professionals. From digital art to street photography, music production to creative writing, these labs offer a unique chance to learn, experiment, and network.

Sustainable Travel and Zero-Carbon Options

London is divided into 9 concentric fare zones. All the main tourist attractions (Big Ben, the Tower of London, and the main museums) are located in Zones 1 and 2.

Our Digital Guide is more than just a website; it’s an evolving, interactive platform offering curated insights into London’s cultural scene. We provide in-depth articles, interviews, and, crucially, immersive digital maps that highlight hidden gems, grassroots projects, and local hotspots.
